Born out of questions about of readability and legibility accumulated over 4 years of college, Offset is an experimental typeface that tests the foundations of readability and legibility. Based on the Electric Circus typeface from 1967, designed by Chermayeff & Geismer, the typeface has been designed by offsetting the same letter with itself. It combines variable type technology along with a technique from the phototypesetting era. The typeface utilises it's unique letterforms and creates illusions to experiment if a typeface can be readable without much legibility and vice verca.
